If you want to understand what the state of Maine sees in him. I cannot recommend more ignoring what the mass media is feeding you. When you can listen to them and decide for yourself. The recent sexual assault allegations blew up in the New York Times face. He hasn’t taken a single Cent from AIPAC and has called out Israel directly. They are desperate to bring him down.

I think he’s gonna make better votes in Congress than Fetterman just because he’s been a lot more specific on policy commitments while campaigning than Fetterman ever was, but I also don’t see how you can have the military career he did and then later say “It is reasonable to ask people to trust me with political power” and actually be a fully reformed human being, so I bet we get a scandal where he’s caught in a racist groupchat with his security detail after he’s elected or something like that
Still, I’d rather have someone who says dumb shit but votes good than someone like Collins who does the exact opposite
