Honestly, last time I saw him speak I can finally get what people like about him. It is a seductive type of populism along the lines of why can’t we field military types who are anti-corporation.
The thing about the Senate is it is old money. You don’t go there unless old money is backing you. It is an extremely corrupt institution, perhaps the most corrupt of all.
This guy, he is a made man. I saw him in several of his first interviews and watching his handlers feed him lines was gross. I am glad he improved but I am not fooled.
