Trump abandoned a legitimate Kurdish military force to the dipshit Turks during his first term. I agree with you that anyone talking about the Kurds fighting in any meaningful capacity in this conflict is delusional.
They were thinking a particular large military power would just, stay in Iran for 20+ years, hopefully whenever the pullout happens is in like 20 years, ideally with a democratic president so they can blame him when the US sponsored government gets overthrown 5 minutes after they leave.
