so, you haven’t read anything I’ve said. Just say that, man.

I literally have said that parent should decide. Almost everytime. Parents should decide, kids shoudn’t be able to just freely obtain those books. Those books don’t belong in a school library for kids. They can be in the regular library where parents can decide and allow what is apporpriate for their kid. I have never said “I decide what kids read”, I said “the public decides what kids can read in school, and parents decide what kids can read at home”

I don’t know how many more times you need to read this until you understand. Like I said, I think you are just being willfully obtuse because you saw the arrow, turned off your brain and decided to be contrarian.

Except that’s not what you said. You accused people of wanting to show porn to kids and said that those books should be banned from school libraries. Not that they should be accessible only with parental permission. That’s two different things. If you would say “I think it’s fine for those books to be in the library but there should be a special section for books that require permission from parents” most people would agree with you.

“the public decides what kids can read in school, and parents decide what kids can read at home”

Yeah, the public doesn’t decide what kids can read in school. The public decides what is mandatory reading in school, parents decide what their kids can read in their spare time or in the library. If I give my kid a book to read in the bus or during lunch time you can’t say he can’t read it just because you don’t like it. You keep proposing censorship but somehow are unable to recognize this.
