    glad you, who doesn’t know anything about my kid, has such strong opinions on what they’re capable of handling. You, who has no idea what they’ve been through or experienced, yet you seem to think YOU know what’s best for them.

      Your kid is your kid. Every library in the fucking world doesn’t need to cater to your kid’s needs. “Parent” is a verb, but you only get to do it to your own children.

        they’re not catering to my kid… that’s not what I said either. It’s a school public library, it caters to the public, kids specifically. And the public decides what appropriate for kids by consensus. I don’t know how much more bad faith you can read that as…

        And I didn’t say every library in the world… I’ve said multiple times that regular libraries can and should have that content and that parents can decide individually if they’re comfortable with letting their kids consume it. No issues with that, let parents, parent. But a SCHOOL library, which is tailored to children, should have material that the public feels is appropriate for children. Simple as.
