The dirt I clean out from my fingernails after gardening is more valuable to this world than everyone in that photo.

The US populace have been beaten into apathy and submission

The majority are either for it, or they simply shrug their shoulders

When people are enslaved through their employer being able to fire them on the spot (which I know isn’t the law everywhere in the US, but still) and put them at risk of ruin because there is no safety net, and healthcare is tied to employment, people bow their heads and just try to survive

    Shit’s fucked

I get what you mean. The country needs way more coordination and getting others active alongside themselves in person and online regardless. If a company fires them then they come together and make a better new company letting people know about it so they switch to them too.

People don’t want to do it alone. Many people would be up for being against all this but not solo. Unity needs to keep being built and having people focused on it all

Hmm? I can get fired tomorrow at the drop of a hat if my boss felt like it. There is no law protecting me from that. The “compromise” is that I too can walk out the door and quit the second I feel like it without getting sued. If I understand correctly some states you cant even quit without some amount of notice or they can sue you.

Edit: sorry I misread “everywhere” as “anywhere.”

        I appreciate your edit

Most people here just dig in

For the record, I don’t dislike the American people. I spend lots of time there, and my fiancée is American

But as a country, it’s fucked, and always has been, just with a good PR program

We knew he was a thief before he ever ran for election!

Seriously. His mentor was Roy Cohn, who taught him to just skip bills, when you’re rich it costs many too much to collect in court! Trump was stiffed thousands of contractors, employees, and investors.

Even so, his businesses were proven frauds and he lost multiple court cases. But, in USA we are fine with corporate fraud and have been since at least the 1980s. No jail sentences for the suits, at worst they get laughable fines.

This was all well known before he was ever elected. No functioning democracy would allow such an openly vile candidate past the primary… by the time he was elected we were already gone. Obama, Bush Jr., Clinton, and Bush Sr., Reagan, all were a little more corrupt than who came before. Doomed since Carter, in my opinion the last relatively honest President.

I fail to see how e.g. Obama was more corrupt than Reagan or any of the Bushes…

Can you really call it a ‘con’ … when you are stealing from an apathetic, blind, mentally challenged adult with brain damage?
