And hopefully last. The USA neeeds to rebuilt from the ground up either as a whole new country or as any number of smaller ones. There’s no way for Americans to elect their way out of this because the rest of the world doesn’t know when you all will just elect another Trump - and at this point we don’t really care as we’re well into the process of cutting all ties

His followers are now dead to those of us that have any semblance of a moral compass.

That’s the difference between this time and last time. No more forgiveness, no more tolerance. It’s time to use the big stick.

It’s still wild as hell when I have a conversation with some reactionary centrist and just casually drop that in there that he’s the worst president in history and I get this WellWhatAboutBidenOrKamala?! shit.

      It’s just mind-bogglingly stupid.

Sure, Biden is not perfect. Liberals have an entire litany of items they could go over. And he’s also, {clutches pearls, gasps, gets the vapors, staggers to the fainting couch} old, ZOMG. And apparently now that’s inherently bad as we employ the Fallacy of the Young, I guess?

But I would have been just fine with his staff Weekend’ing At Bernie’s that guy over the option of this PEDOnald crime wave of a “presidency”. Easily. Without question.

These people that start up with the “yeah, but I had to live under Obama, and I had to live under Biden, and you can suffer this, too” shit are just so very fucking stupid. I have no idea what cross they think they had to bear under either of those Presidents? They never seem able to articulate anything remotely cogent.

That’s because Fox News has been hooked up to their emotional reward center for three decades, and their Pavlovian emotional response is the entirety of their political belief system.

She would have been no different from Biden on Israel and we just learned that she was also planning to attack Iran, per an interview with a staffer. She campaigned with Liz Cheney, the architect of the Iraq war (yes really, look it up I’m not your search engine) and she dropped all her outreach to the left and campaigning against “weird” Donald Trump to this sudden pivot to “the most deadly military on Earth” and tax breaks for capital owners.

I voted for her because she was better than Trump but you can stop with all this woke neolib Bill Maher-ass wokescolding horse shit. No one wants to hear it or cares. No one’s mind is being changed by your need to feel intellectually superior in the most smug Reddit ways possible. Go fucking touch grass.

I got it mixed up, It was a Clinton staffer, and he said she wouldn’t have “had the courage”

She still would have been way better than this stuff. And that’s the point.

As for intellectually superior, it usually seems to be the ones that love to gloat that they are Above It All ™ because they did the most ridiculous foot-stamping huffy thing that a supposed functioning adult could possibly do when it comes to civic engagement, and that’s stay home or vote third party. And they looooove to tell everyone about it, too.

You fucking voted for her because she was obviously the better choice. But you get pissy because people point out she was the better choice - in the face of so many people not voting for her even though they were more aligned with her than trump for stupid reasons and that margin cost her the presidency.

In addition to the other good points others have made, it’s weird you compare this to Bill Maher. The dude is basically a conservative now.

Not sure he’s conservative, he’s often just annoyingly contrarian - he really prides himself on being “that guy”, and he’s definitely a carrier of the Murc’s Law virus. He’s not exactly Patient Zero for it, or even the worst offender - David Brooks shares a lot of the blame, at least in more recent times. But he’s up there with carrying the torch for it.

I’ve seen him do so much both sides nonsense. He is still clinging to Israel, FFS while acting like those that protest Gaza are actually antisemites. He keeps harping on the trans thing.

He’s exhausting to watch and at this point, I’m mostly hate-watching him. And his guests at least on the panel make up an array of annoying choices.

But one thing he isn’t, and it is not someone that really is going to the mat for Kamala or Biden. If anything, he’s almost exactly the kind of guy that would love to gloat “told you so” about how Democrats can be disappointing, as if that’s some big revelation, LOL.

You have a point, but the ways he’s contrarian to me seem to indicate as stubborn conservatism lying dormant.

Yeah I remember when Biden attacked Iran. There’s no way to know what ACTUALLY would have happened. But I can guarantee that it would not be this chaotic.

It doesn’t matter what a staffer said. They would not have all the information.

ALL politicians promise things and have to pivot once they have all the information. To think that Harris would have done this same level of fuckery is willfully ignorant. Saying she would not let Iran get nuclear weapons at by all means necessary doesn’t mean she would have just followed Israel headfirst into this. It is just plain wrong.

Listen I am glad you voted for Harris. You can stop with the weak argument that everything would be the same.
