Journalists and rights advocates are outraged by Rep. Chip Roy's "blatant Islamophobia" in introducing the MAMDANI Act targeting NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani. This dangerous bill aims to deport immigrants based on political and religious views.
According to Roy, the legislation would enact “sweeping” changes to US immigration law that would deport, denaturalize, and deny US citizenship or entry to any immigrant “who is a member of a socialist party, a communist party, the Chinese Communist Party, or Islamic fundamentalist party, or advocates for socialism, communism, Marxism, or Islamic fundamentalism.”

It’s cool that you were able to make your awesome joke, but this is literally the next step. They’re already detaining and “deporting” citizens of color. They are already doing everything they can to do away with naturalization.
