Yeah. I give you another thought: Beyond cosmic horizon things are escaping faster then light so it’s impossible for information to ever reach us right? WRONG!!! The barier isn’t light speed, it’s acceleration of the expansion of the universe. Universe with constant expansion rate is (counterintuitively) fully traversable thanks to the ant on the rubber paradox. Ant will always reach its destination as long as space expands at a constant rate.
The entropy gradient and cosmic inflation were both ultimately caused by the big bang, sure… but in what sense is the expansion directly causing the entropy gradient?
Also, cosmic inflation isn’t evenly distributed—it mostly happens in intergalactic space. Are you saying that time is progressing more rapidly in regions where space is expanding more quickly?
By going from a state of higher density of energy/matter to a state of lesser density, it’s a gradient much like an electrical field.
We know that time progresses at different rates due to gravitational effects, it follows that time would progress differently in more/less dense parts of the universe.
Good deduction. You aren’t the first one who thought about that issue, but deducing it on your own is respectable.
So then when the expansion slows and the universe starts contracting (again?), will time then reverse as entropy reverses?
Except it doesn’t seem like it will ever contract. If universe were to stop or contract, it would collapse into black hole
The moment before the big bang, the universe was a singularity similar to a black hole though. In fact, our universe shares several properties with black holes (mass/energy can never escape it, for example)
It’s more akin to a white hole. With accelerating expansion It seems everything will escape eventually.
And then ‘accidentally’ observable universe is just slightly below Schweidshield radius which would collapse it back into regular black hole. Seems like a very peculiar coincidence.
I’m pretty sure nobody thinks the Big Crunch is going to happen anymore, considering the expansion of the universe is accelerating.
I sorta think its still possible. Im not 100% sold gravity is a constant on massive scales.
I see time as a description of two or more objects relationship in space.
I view time as a relative dimension in space.
I don’t see what your relatives have to do with this, Doctor.
Yeah, but forever takes so long.
