Only if you’re spewing racist conspiracy theories sponsored by wealthy people, aka Fox News.

So how’s that going to change? This is a thing I don’t think they understand. It always has been. It just no longer has possible deniability like it had in the past.

It could possibly be denied… but whether it’s plausible deniability is up for inspection.

lol yeah said plausible but stt decided possible and I didn’t check. Fewer and fewer people have cable anymore, let alone access to the 24-hour cable news channel. The broadcast news, which has never truly been trustworthy, has completely lost the veneer with ghouls like Barri Weiss at CBS. It’s all clearly bullshit anymore. The only real issue is what good sources can we really point people to generally. I have plenty that I follow, but none of them have that fake vinear that so many people look for.

Hmmm. What are your sources, if I may ask?

I have been somewhat adrift for the past few years and am down to reading political essays and indy journals, a smattrering of regional newspapers, (Bangor Daily News, etc…) foreign sources - El Pais, The Guardian, and a few ‘general news’ sites that haven’t gone too far off the rails yet.

I browse through The Atlantic, The New Republic, Rolling Stone, and the Harvard Business Review (which actually digs into more than just business, but does a bang up job explaining best practices which more often than not, ends up pointing the directions things will go in…) and Wired, slashdot and The Register for tech oriendted news… am always looking for more good sources of info.

Should open every morning’s broadcast with a Soviet style patriotic bellowing of the national anthem, complete with happy farmhands slinging hay with pitchforks as they sing along!

I don’t know about starting the broadcast (I’m not a morning person), but I know one of my local TV stations used to end the broadcast at night by playing the state song before going off air. I used to see it sometimes if I dozed off and left the TV on for an hour or so after the midnight Deep Space Nine rerun.

Deep Space Nine, Night Man (which was very mediocre, BTW), Georgia On My Mind, static.

LOL! I just went and looked on google images at the pictures of Night Man. That suit is utterly ridiculous! Holy cats, it’s laughably bad! Glad I missed it, and it apparently was on TV while I still had one.

We need Night Man as the Ubermensch symbol of our New Patriotism…

        …so flipping absurd…

You were slinging hay with pitchforks in elementary school?! That must’ve been awesome… and slightly terrifying at the same time!

LOL! Yaah, I get it though…
