Just a thought. I feel people sweep a lot under the rug if the majority finds you beautiful/handsome.
Pretty sure there’s a Marylin Manson song about this.
They dont “win” but yes, im sure life is easier in some ways.
Some people win the genetic lottery, and are tall and attractive, others dont.
No point fretting about things you cant change, just be the best version of yourself you can be.
I can definitely tell the difference between life as a pretty girl and as a fat menopausal lady, but really the only things the former got me was low level jobs and guys wanting to sleep with me (ew).
trump is ugly af…
Putin too.
Netanyahu as well. Power is what makes people get away with shit. beauty can be used as a tool for power, but beauty = eveything is allowed is simply wrong
Q.E.D
I think it’s moreso the rich keep winning regardless of morality and its easier to achieve/maintain what society considers the beauty de jure when you’re wealthy.
Your appreciation of sweeping under the rug for handsome people is true, however, not the only outcome therefore I disagree that beautiful always wins. I’ve seen beautiful lose just as much.
There’s been several studies indicating that CEOs are selected at least in part for physical attractiveness; height, facial symmetry, etc. The etc. being sociopathic tendencies 😌
Remember kids, winners never cheat, and cheaters never lose.
Idk about “winning” but it’s definitely a boon, and someone with no morals can quickly make it profitable, sure.
More like: evil always wins no matter how ugly it is
Aw shit, are we doing lookism now?
Pretty privilege has been a thing since Victorian times, but I can’t think of any current “winner” (ergo total loser) who isn’t ugly.
Beauty is subjective—maybe we just find success attractive after the fact?
Evolution favors certain traits that cultures find appealing. Yes beauty should be subjective but that’s up to the individual. Attraction to body types should scare the shit out of people but animal instinct is a strong factor in favoring healthy looking people.
