Why are you pro-NATO? NATO is similar to the Iron Dome, it’s “defensive” of an actively imperialist hegemony. Spearheaded by the US Empire, NATO countries are all guilty of plundering the global south of the surplus value they create, through financial domination and overt millitary action. Western IMF loans require austerity or a concession of sovereignty, and in this process the global north gets extremely wealthy at the expense of the global south. NATO’s role is to protect this process of expropriation.
I’m bad about reading usernames before the comment, and I literally thought I recognized your writing style, then looked at the name and said “ohhh Cowbee! I recognize that name! Always good takes”
My assumption is that it’s mainly from Europeans that don’t believe they are actually imperialist. Most are aware of how bad the US Empire is, but Europeans act like they aren’t complicit vassals. Though, they do seem to be getting demoted to periphery, hence Starmer’s warming relations with the PRC in the last few weeks.
Yep, and they also seem to forget that the death of old-style colonialism doesn’t mean that they aren’t still super-exploiting the global south with imperialism and neocolonialism.
The ba’athists were nationalists with some degree of social programs, but was not socialist in name nor practice. A bit of a deep dive, Blowback’s first season does a pretty good intro of it.
I’m American and pro NATO so I don’t like it.
found one ☝️

Well put. Ty for educating folks.
Thank you! I try to foster an environment where we can all engage in collective education dialectically, from a Marxist-Leninist perspective!

Aww, thank you, that’s sweet of you to say!
Not sure why you’re getting down voted, this is pretty accurate

Europeans forget they participated in MNF-I in Iraq and ISAF in Afghanistan, as well as the Unified Protector mission in Libya.

Tangentially, wrt reading the articles wrt Korean voting, do you know if Hussein’s Ba’athist party was still socialist, in name and practice?
