Support among House Democrats for impeaching Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is skyrocketing, nearly doubling in the last week to 100 co-sponsors.
That’s an unprecedented level of support for an impeachment effort during President Trump’s second term, with lawmakers who have bristled at the topic in the past now warming to the idea.
Kelly is urging Republicans to get on board with her efforts — even as no GOP lawmaker has come close to expressing support for Noem’s impeachment.
“As Secretary Noem continues to lie, obstruct Congress, and violate people’s civil rights, the support for her impeachment only grows,” she said.
“Nearly doubling to 100 co-sponsors” doesn’t mean shit. Talk to me when it’s 60 senators and 220 representatives.
We have the most profoundly impotent democratic “leadership” who are completely comfortable with our slide into fascism, even though it’ll almost certainly mean the end of their positions of power.
Fuck every last Dem who voted to continue funding ICE - you are just as much traitors as the Gestapo themselves.
Yet they approved ICE funding.
It’s nothing but more performative politics and as we get closer to midterms, this performance will ramp up even further. They’re not going to impeach or remove Noem from office because they condone her actions, I doubt there’s going to be a single thing that Democrats are going to roll back once they get back into power. Their ratchet effect will lock it all into place and the entire country will shift further to the right, they’ve been doing this for decades
Who woulda thought a dog killer would be cruel and morally corrupt? No one could have predicted that…
Meaningless, given the Democrats leadership refused to whip against the ICE funding passing. They don’t care about ICE or what’s happening, they just care that her and Trump are the ones doing it.
Who gives a shit? They will just replace her with another sycophant.
ImpeachRemove Trump.Impeach Trump?
So we can go through that comedic charade? With no leverage?
Call for a general strike until the entirety of ICE is abolished, long with other demands. Shut the entire system down. Break the economy if need be. Snap it’s neck. It’s not like it serves any one but the billionaires.
Then impeach Trump.
Impeachment ain’t done shit. Time to try something stronger.
Lead impeachment
That was tried too, but he turned his head, got a bloody photo op, and used a dead firefighter’s uniform as a prop. I don’t think there will be another opening. But it’ll probably happen naturally during one of his televised cabinet meeting naps.
As much aspirin as he takes he’d have bled out of it was real. It was faked, therefore it has not been tried.
It was fucking ketchup. There was no mark, no scab, no scar, a week or two later when he took that stupid gauze off.
If an actual bullet grazed his cheek like that, it would have taken half his face as well as his ear. The whole thing was a set-up.
A general strike will NEVER happen. People are already afraid to lose their jobs, their homes and food on the table. You will not find numbers great enough to make a change. Hell, you can’t even get these bozos to vote let alone take to the streets and potentially lose their jobs.

As it happened? It hasn’t happened yet. Even if it does, will it truly do anything?

And even if it does result in change, those changes won’t last…
Ok, let’s have a chat next week then when Trump declares war on whatever country and deploys more ICE assholes to Minneapolis. And the week after that, and the month after that until he dies.
The US had a chance at striking a year ago November and they chose to stay home and do nothing. If given the choice again, they will stay home and do nothing. To hope and pray otherwise is delusional regardless of your witty rendition of the narcissists prayer.
The world isn’t made up of like-minded internet commenters. There are less people concerned than you think.
That has been shown to do absolutely nothing. And besides, trump hasn’t been the one making decisions for a while.
What we need to do is arrest most of the regime for their many openly committed crimes.
