“Switzerland will do its best to ensure these benefit the Venezuelan population”
Doubt
Oh Switzerland, you’re so silly.
That’s the usual procedure.
Reminiscent of when Paypal froze all payments to Julian Assange.
Justice is an illusion. They were also fine trading with apartheid South Africa when almost every other country was boycotting.
Illicit origin? Wasn’t that the whole point of a swiss bank account?
Okay, but I’m not so sure about calling Maduro a socialist.
Sure, let’s call him “Narco-terrorist” I’m sure the U.S. departement knows what to call things
We can call him a lot of basically untrue things if you want. Let’s call him a sentient mushroom.
Or we can call him a failed evil dictator that was kidnapped by a not yet failed evil dictatorNo, that’s not it either.
Didn’t the Bank of England do that years ago? Were those funds ever released?
Not sure about Maduro-owned funds, but I read yesterday about the Bank of England freezing access to a chunk of the Venezuelan gold reserve in 2018. That action has been going through UK courts for years.
There’s so many things you could put in that first spot too, many that are currently happening.
