This fucking thumb decides to run to the center in a heavily democratic district with his only Democratic bonafide being anti-trump. This isn’t laudable at all. It risks losing a potentially progressive seat to a Lincoln project/bulwark conservative “Democrat.”

If he wanted to do some actual good, he could primary a MAGAt republican in a safely red district. But no.

There’s more money to be made in primarying progressives than in primarying conservatives.

True! If the Democratic party apparatus can’t galvanize and find a better candidate, it’s just another sign that they’re beyond fully cooked.

I wanted something different from “knife fighter” Ken Martin, but either he’s getting the cold shoulder from the old guard, or he’s pandering to them. Come on Ken, be the Brutus/Longinus to Schumer’s (et al.) Caesar.

The problem is that all the Democratic leadership thinks they’re Caesar and they’re all terrified of getting shanked if they don’t toe the party line.

his only Democratic bonafide being anti-trump

His wife was legal counsel to Trump during the first term. Absolutely laughable to call him “anti-Trump”.

They were famously at odds over that … at least publicly.

It’s also essentially the only thing on his platform today that counts as a “Democratic” position

This stooge is intentionally ratcheting the Overton window.

More neocons in the democratic party.

They were the modern James Carville / Mary Matalin power couple, sure. Just entirely encapsulated within the Republican Party. Conway worked closely with Ann Coulter and Matt Drudge, ffs. He was at the forefront of decades of smears and hatchet jobs aimed at public health care, anti-war activism, and civil rights.

More neocons in the democratic party.

They came over like rats fleeing a sinking ship. And then the ship had the audacity not to sink, in large part because they weren’t weighing it down.

Lots of other completely “doesn’t happen here” shit has been happening here. so if i were a degenerate gambler, I’d be putting money on Kalshi or whatever that this dude falls out a window in the next 6 months.
