Hamas has called on Israel to allow an impartial international investigation into its attack on 7 October 2023 and has rejected that it killed civilians or committed atrocities.
“The resistance did not target any hospital, school, or house of worship; it did not kill a single journalist or any member of ambulance crews. We challenge [Israel] to prove otherwise,” it said.
In the new document, Hamas said that “Western media and Zionist lobby groups” had launched a disinformation campaign about the events of the attack.
“The Israeli entity promoted a series of lies and fallacies about killing children and raping women, paving the way to proceed with an all-out genocide project that was pre-planned and aimed to erase Gaza from existence,” it said.

To put it another way, they’re religious extremists trying to ethnically cleanse an area to impose thir way of life. What makes them fundamentally different from Islamic extremists like Al-Qaeda or Hamas? Just the religion of the group doing it?
An occupier is an occupier; religion’s got nothing to do with it. Who goes to a rave right next to an open-air prison that’s held Palestinians for a generation for the crime of still existing in Palestine?

The government of Israel is intentionally conducting a horrific genocide of innocent Palestinian men, women, and children. I want to be absolutely crystal clear that I think it’s a crime against humanity and the perpetrators must be tried and any good court must convict.
I can’t get onboard with bloodthirsty statements about how “hopefully” a lot of Israeli civilians died. That’s just a personal thing for me, and the comment reads, to me, as hoping that civilians died.
I understand the sentiment that they’re settlers and occupiers, and I understand that they may have even held awful, incorrect, pro-colonialism opinions and had harmful beliefs, but personally for me I can’t get on board with sincerely hoping that unarmed civilians are murdered en masse.

Blaming the entire genocide on “the government” and not assigning any responsibility to the individuals perpetrating it (majority of Israelis), is quite frankly infantilizing and strange.
