You’re talking about WW3 implications that “everyone is already thinking about” (no, everyone isn’t) and conjuring a conspiracy about oil reserves with no real reason… that’s at least a bit hysterical.
Re: WW3, China and Russia have already signaled they won’t step in. Most likely due to an unspoken (in Russia’s case, probably explicitly spoken) agreement that Taiwan and Ukraine will be left without any American support.
The price of oil is low, oil trade is uninterrupted, there’s no reason to fake having a bunch of reserves.
