“The authoritarianism of China and how little it cares about individuals is so scary!” - US Conservatives screech with shrill voices as they deport innocent people to said authoritarian and scary country for no good reason other than blind hatred and a lust for authoritarian violence as if it will somehow magically bring them comfort or prosperity in a zero-sum process.
They deported veterans. Really, anyone in this country is on the menu. They hope to get rid of birthright citizenship and they hope to weaponize data like social media against anyone that doesn’t like any of the cheetoheads.
Between this and how they treated Afghans that collaborated with them, this is going to be a long term issue for future recruitment efforts.
Still not sure if it’s deliberate, but Trump is taking the exact steps one would take to dismantle the American Empire.
