Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.), a member of the Armed Services Committee, said Sunday that the body will put military officials “under oath” regarding reported follow-up strikes on an alleged drug boat in the Caribbean.

“We’re going to have an investigation,” Kelly told host Kristen Welker on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “We’re going to have a public hearing. We’re going to put these folks under oath. And we’re going to find out what happened. And then, there needs to be accountability.”

CNN and The Washington Post reported Friday that the U.S. carried out a second strike on an accused drug-smuggling boat off the coast of Venezuela on Sept. 2, killing the remaining survivors of its initial attack.

Unjustifiably murdering everybody on the boat with one shot is just fine

I’ll preface my comment by saying I don’t believe shit the administration is saying.

With that said, the stated purpose of the attack is to stop a drug smuggling boat. Now, if you believe what they say, the first attack did exactly this. Any further attack is just for murder and coverups.

They’re allowed to destroy a drug smuggling boat. The are not allowed to murder and cover up.

To me, the only reason you murder the survivors is to ensure their true purpose (fisherman) doesn’t get exposed.

America is clearly never going to recover it’s reputation ^(citation needed)^ or influence after this administration.

America has been doing awful shit for much longer than Trump unfortunately.

It is illegal to drone strike anyone who is only suspected of a crime. Especially in international or Venezuelan waters. Drug smuggling is not a crime that carries the death sentence in the US either.
