I’m starting to think Greene is just a little slow and legitimately believed that most of the GOP were not pedophiles and was caught off guard when they were so fervently trying to block the release of the files.
Greene was full-throated MAGA. The issue is that she expected that, when Trump returned to power, she would be rewarded with a position in the administration. Except that she’s now an older woman, and she looks it, and they mostly only want young, good-looking women in the administration. Even then, she might’ve gotten a position, except she insists on voicing her opinions, which they can’t stand. An older, not-pretty, vocal woman? Nah.
I don’t buy that, personally. A monetary interest that supersedes the maga brand’s worth has generally been closer to reality

The decisiveness with which MTG has abandoned the MAGA ship implies she knows this regime has no way to fix the current economic mess, because the only way to do so is to reverse course 180 degrees and abandon every single one of the policies they have implemented.
They will probably continue with tax cuts for the super-rich, deregulation of employment markets, destruction of the green economy, tariffs as personal revenge tools, just like the old adage that daily beatings will continue until morale improves.
