At one point, I thought fElon would keep the logo the same, so that most people would be lulled into thinking it’s all quite normal, etc. He didn’t even do that - he changed the logo - to a really stupid one, no less, I keep thinking it’s a close box in some contexts - and people still mostly stayed put. Corporations continued to use it as an outlet, despite its obviously toxic owner.
That leads me to believe that most people, most especially the younger set, will just continue using TikTok as normal, especially if there is no outward change, like a logo. Ellison is likely to keep a very low profile as he always has. Sure, people in the Valley and in tech all know him to be a gigantic flaming asshole and has been for decades, but…the money will still flow. And I bet 95% of the TikTok demo has no fucking clue who Oracle is or anything about Ellison.
