    • Spring wasn’t close to any elections so brinksmanship then would have been forgotten.
    • Elections are like 6 weeks away. The may not be the biggest but they are elections and people won’t forget the shutdown.
    • the big midterm elections are still a year away, but the federal budget is an annual thing. This years brinksmanship will be long forgotten by then but there’s a new “opportunity “ every year
