CMV: This is the gun grab.

Step 1: Create State Militas run by federal deputies

Step 2: revisit Heller, etc. and stress well run milita part.

Step 3: confiscate all non milita weapons.

Step 4: burn Constitution?

    Gun grab? Really? I mean it’s about control for sure. But your first thought was gun grab? It’s to create a dictatorship. The fascist fucks won’t stop on that but… gun grab is not how I would describe it…

      An inevitable goal in a dictatorship is disarming the opposition. The in-group can often keep their weapons to help oppress the outgroups.

      This was also, as it happens, one of the real goals of the 2nd Amendment. Most of the founders weren’t under any real belief that a militia based military was a viable treat to a regular army like the British model, they saw how poorly the militias fared in the Revolution.

      The militia model that was the goal of the 2nd was about rapid reactionary forces for slave revolts and Indian exterminations.

      Personally I think this is more about killing protestors but whatever they can do two things with one action

        Yeah I mean you’re right, power and control, but the they’re coming to take your guns is such a republican idk… dog whistle? Like why is that what you’re worried about when what’s at stake is so huge. I mean unless you’re hoping for a civil war or something.

          Except less you forget it’s always projection. Trump already signalled he would take the guns first then have the court figure it out. This did not cause a shitstorm with conservative 2a types. Why you ask? Same reason as they don’t care about ice kidnapping and disappearing people. Harder to stop an illegal takeover if you are bringing rocks to a gunfight. He has promised those dogs the full boot, unlimited licking time and if they are lucky they can own a stitch in the leather.
