The term “maga” is just a nonsense baby-talk word. It’s just a filler word with no real meaning and no real policies and no real platform. This is just the base of the conservative movement and the Republican Party we are talking about - and truly always has been. The “liberal media” (lol) has always put a paper-thin veneer of respectability over the gibbering madness of the mob that make up the actual Republicans and actual conservatives in this country.
It’s about white male xtian cishet supremacy and about kissing Taco’s ass because he gives them this permission structure. Everything else - including terms like “freedom”, “liberty”, the rule of law, small government, fending off a tyrannical government with their 2A (lo-fucking-l), chattering about the Constitution, and yes, “making America great” is just so much bullshit and they don’t mean any of it.

I disagree. Maga is hardline fringe conservative dialed up to 11 with a cult of personality kicker. Its different enough to be it’s own thing.
