My man
Spotify is much better for music discovery / public playlists. I use Apple Music because it’s cheaper with the family plan, but if I’m wanting new music I will often open up Spotify just to view the playlists there and add the songs I like to my Apple Music playlists.
The worst. Our IT is outsourced to some bottom-of-the-barrel garbage company, and they both have no idea what they are doing and work in a different timezone, so you have to wait a working day for responses like ‘did you try turning it off and on again?’. Everyone just emails the head of IT with their issues, which defeats the whole point of the system.
I feel like, depending on your age at the time, this is more on her than you. I’m an adult, and I don’t buy myself clothes that can’t handle the normal setting on my washer and dryer. I know it would be a case of when, not if, I’d forget. No way I’d trust a child to pay attention to something like that.
To expand on this from a different perspective, I’m not a game developer, I have an analytics background. A mobile game company popped up on my Indeed feed not too long ago, looking to fill what basically amounted to a position whose sole goal was to make their games as addictive as possible. I’m not saying that those kinds of roles don’t exist in more traditional game development, but it seems par for the course with mobile gaming.
I spotted Tom Hardy rushing through a London train a few years ago. I gave him a nod and he gave me the ‘don’t tell anyone I’m here’ look. My Mum was next to me and pretty upset she didn’t notice him, because she thinks he’s a pretty handsome guy!
Can confirm that Jos A Bank is still around near me
Please don’t, there are enough paranoid nutjobs on Lemmy as it is
My job offers subsidized pet insurance as a perk, and even then, the monthly fees are so prohibitively expensive for my cat that it would be a financial mistake to pay for insurance rather than save the money and use my savings in an emergency. Not to mention that I’d have to with insurance anyway, since the premiums were so high.
As a rule, non-essential insurance (including pet insurance) is designed to be a losing bet as you are paying for the average cost of an insured animal’s care, plus the overhead of hundreds of people’s wages.
The only reason I could see you paying for it is if you know your pet will absolutely need it in the future and it will pay for itself, in which case I would use insurance with the smallest premium. Best of luck.
lemmy.blahaj.zone sounds like a good fit for you. It’s an instance predominately set up as a refuge for trans people, but accepts anyone respectful. The admins defederate from anything offensive which keeps it a safe place for people who need it. I’m not trans but basically signed up here because I feel the same as you, I come here to unwind before bed and want to avoid inflammatory shit. It’s a great little community.
Incredible. I have no idea, but I love this post. Keep it up.
