While right now that may not be the case, but as someone who looked into the topic I can definitely say that it has similar potential. It’s just that a lot of companies just duct-tape AI onto their product and the result they get is usually shitty. But if you ignore all those “projects” that are obviously meant to fail, there are some promising projects and applications for AI that are actually made by people who understand what they are doing, the limitations and the upsides of the technology and they may just make products that are indeed useful.

This is actually a great shower thought. Not something I’d normally think about, but playing with the thought trolls do seem likely to try and annoy people this way.

I mean in the grand scheme of things there are only a handful of types of people, maybe a few hundred and those types repeat over and over. Everyone has their own unique experiences, personal drama and relationships, but their behavior and core traits are shared with probably millions of people throughout history. Thinking you are unique is not a rational belief and if it becomes integral to one’s personality (like it has to millions of people before them) I think they should be mocked, just for the sake of getting their heads straight.

It’s not that you aren’t allowed to be the most important character of your story, it’s just that you shouldn’t think that’s because you are something that never was before and never will be after.

But even that number is achived by what is basically propaganda flowing from all state owned TV and radio stations, newspapers and constant billboard campaings. I’m from Europe (Hungary) and I watched the first 20 minutes of the debate (with the intent of finishing the whole thing in one go) before turning it off while basically being on the brink of crying. The US presidents basically have as much say in my life as my own government (if not more) and even though I can’t vote for them, if I had to I’d be lost. Because it’s not that one is old and the other is crazy it’s a freaking Venn diagram of crazy RFK jr., demented Biden and then of course crazy and demented Trump. Seeing the debate and how these people basically can’t put two sentences after each other without breaking up is terrifying. And one of them will be voted into the most important office on the planet.

I mean it’s shit over here. We can choose between a guy who already stole half of our country, someone whose messy divorce somehow made him the most important member of the opposition and this other guy who stole the other half of the country before the current dude did. (And that’s just the tip of the iceberg). But maaan are we a lot better off than the world’s greatest country where two unsupervised parties get to point at the people you can vote into this ridiculously powerful position. And then they pick these guys.

We’re all going to die and I can’t even vote for whoever gets us killed, which is ultimately for the better. This way I can die with a clear conscience.

Shouldn’t a woman and a man with the same height, weight, and body-muscle percentage be basically identical in terms of athleticism or am I wrong?

The fact that my first reaction to this was shouting “fuck you” internally probably just reenforces the idea that short people get aggressive about their height.

I like this. It’s not really helpful in the sense that it seems almost as hard as being perfect yourself, but nonetheless it’s possible, contrary to the alternative.
