22·14 days agoIt solved the problem for me, so I wanted to share. Didn’t think it would be so controversial.
Former smoker here: I don’t understand the hype around quitting and why people act like it’s so addictive and start buying nicotine patches.
It’s not like you wake up at night because you need a smoke. I once read that caffeine is more addictive than nicotine. You get a headache for a day or so and then you’re done with it.
Yes, smoking is a strong habit, but that’s it. Stop pretending and just quit if you want to. Your body is not craving it, your mind is.
There’s so much evidence to support this, it’s basically a fact at this point.

Oh they do care. Just not in a way you’d appreciate.
I have no experience with smart locks but I work in IT and would never want anything smart for something essential I need to to rely on. Especially not if it’s provided by a for profit company.
Personally I think a lot of FOSS maintainers are burning out. If you maintain a remotely popular project you basically have a second unpaid job.

It’s the same when you ask an American where they are from when you meet abroad and they reply with a state name like Texas instead of a country.
They’re abroad so they must know that other countries exist yet still reply with their state name.
I don’t think knowledge is the problem anymore, it’s ignorance.
What if it is robbed and the paper is taken? Do they have a digital backup at all?
A bank should spend the same amount of money on digital security than physical security. I mean, security is the whole point banks exist in the first place and why people trust them.
