One of the reasons i don’t make policy decisions: my solution yo the antivax problem is to develop a bioweapon and a corresponding vaccine. Secretly add the new vaccine into all other vaccines for two years. Warn people that the coming flu season is going to be bad and that a new dangerous strain of covid is spreading to increase vaccination rates. Then deploy the bioweapon. No more antivaxxers.

We had one in a Chamber of Commerce that I belonged to. He got really insufferable after the first time he caught it, because “it wasn’t even as bad as the flu.” The second time he caught it he ended up intubated in the hospital with brain damage. I didn’t donate to the relief effort because the outcome pleased me. He eventually lost his business. I don’t know what became of him. He couldn’t really talk after "he recovered. " sadly, they don’t all get the outcome they deserve.

At this point, I am considering posting disinformation on conservative forums along the lines of “my cousin’s friend took an [ld50] dose of aspirin and her covid symptoms completely disappeared within 12 hours.”

We already have the precedent (see Andry José Hernández Romero, for example). Someone with power might be able to reverse it.

The one time I would not be in favor of due process would be if Trump sent him to El Salvador. A side effect could be that Musk’s lawyers might even be able to fix due process for everyone. If not, he rots in a foreign prison. I see no downside.

Considering how ineffective they are at negotiating passage of bills, approval of incompetent political appointees, etc, this is pretty hypocritical. I’m amused, but it is not like they’ve suddenly grown a spine themselves.
