There was another news post earlier today with the same crazy bias, seemingly completely ignoring the bigoted, disrespectful-as-fuck shenanigans by pro-Israeli football hooligans.

No, obviously. The article brings it up and doesn’t explain anything beyond “discontent.”

Is this a real screenshot or just an out of context meme? I’ve never seen this prompt when installing other browsers on any of my PCs running Windows 10 over the last 7+ years of it being out.

Edit: It seems to be real. That is craziness. I also realized that all my licenses are Professional or Enterprise (those only on my work-issued devices), so I’m assuming that’s why I’ve never seen it. Like the other comment pointed out, they had their feet put to the fire over simply bundling Internet Explorer in the late 90s, yet nowadays they get away with this shit.

The US would have to get involved, South Korea is a military ally. We literally have thousands of troops and military bases inside their country. I think this is why the agreement with Russia only states “potential” aid from Russia in the event of a war with South Korea.

I think you overestimate how many women will simply prefer a woman leader by default. Several countries have had women as their PMs/leaders before and they don’t automatically win every woman’s vote each election cycle.

What’s going on here in the US is just pretty cut and dry: If you value women having bodily autonomy and equal rights, then the choice is pretty damn clear on who you should vote for. Unfortunately, it feels like so much attention is on the presidency, this obvious connection isn’t being evenly applied to other political offices as well (i.e. last I’d read, all projections have the GOP winning the Senate).

I have rarely encountered places that don’t accept cash. The only places I’ve seen signs that state no cash are smaller businesses and/or street merchants/vendors.

Regardless, I agree with the spirit of your comment. I rarely use cash anymore simply because carrying it around is inconvenient. You have to know ahead of time exactly how much something is going to cost and then when you get coins back, that’s doubly more inconvenient/annoying.

Ultimately, OP’s post is a little melodramatic. Gift cards are meant to be more personal, although in the specific context they wrote, it does feel a bit half-hearted (“Thanks for helping, here’s a random gift card I found in my wallet that I never used!”).

True enough. Though, Russia has adapted tactics in various domains since their initial invasion, e.g. their drone defensive/offensive tactics. Regardless, if NK is simply sending grunts to the frontline without their own senior officers and/or company commanders/sergeants, there won’t be much useful combat experience to take back home to their own military.

I view it as NK getting real world combat experience. It helps both countries out. This isn’t good for multiple reasons.

Yeah, this is such a silly move, lol. I mean, sure, SK wouldn’t be able to use them. But, neither would your army… In a sense, you’re admitting that if it came to a war, you’re not strong enough to launch an offensive campaign and are preparing to immediately go on the defense. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, unless your government’s propaganda is constantly talking up how glorious and powerful your leader and military are.

The death of local journalism is a tragedy. It’s resulted in far less local accountability for city/county governments and businesses. There is no easy solution, though. I mean, there is, but getting everyone to give a shit and support local journalism is apparently not an easy endeavor.

Even with good hardware, it was not optimized for performance in general. This was amplified by the fact they also marketed Vista as having a wide range of older hardware support, which resulted in many users upgrading from XP only to have their performance absolutely tank. I think there was even a lawsuit because of how they marketed some devices as, “Vista ready.”

Regardless, Vista was still better than Windows 8.
