Why all those VMs instead of containers?
Why all those VMs instead of containers?
And your words show your lack of experience in the matter. Usually work laptops have their bios locked down, so you can’t access it and change the boot sequence and install what you want.
Some just put a password that sometimes can be reset, other times there are full on lockdowns by dedicated security apps that are very difficult (if not impossible) to circumvent.
Ah, I host my own instance of piped, that solves a problem 😅
I use a rPi3 for this stuff exactly. I have about 300 movies in the folder (I know it sounds like a rookie number but I keep only stuff I know it will be watched) and kodi (through jellyfin addon) only takes a few seconds to load. My jellyfin server is not on the nas itself, it’s on a separate docker server for hw transcoding on the fly (and the nas has hdd drives).
I used the piped addon for youtube.
I use kore app on my phone to control kodi. Been working like this for about 7 years.
Borg from the server to the nas, aws glacier from the nas to offsite.
You have no idea why that happened though. Are you absolutely 100% sure he’s the only bad actor in the relationship? Maybe it wasn’t “just an affair”.
Don’t draw conclusions from limited information.
Yeah, the AP ones
On buses the card payment system is (usually) not real time. The card info is processed overnight. This assuming the network connection between the bus and the processing system is up. Mobile networks towers do have batteries, but only for few hours. Only in remote areas they have generators (I’d expect a few in cities but mostly not).
the internal angst between wanting to be her friend, wanting to be a good person, and desperately wanting her relationship to end
That’s just being human.
I think it was Mark Twain that said “nobody is completely sad when their best friend fails”
I would have put assembly as true neutral
Well I only had one atari console, the one to play pong/tennis/squash on it with the rotating knob controls. Not sure if that qualify for a Atari dump 😅
I haven’t seen this in maybe 20 years. I printed it out at the time (on a dot matrix printer!) And read it to anyone who would listen to me. Thank you for bringing it up again.
It’s also due to very bad weather/floods in the second largest producer, Vietnam.
And since extreme weather events are increasing in intensity and frequency, it’s not going to get better (as a trend at least).
Free where I live. Biggest cost was the uber ride home
Yeah, I was thinking something similar. I’m not a DBA but it’s the easiest way (that I can think of) to record all transactions for a certain user.
Also that’s not how deduplication works.
He means/thinks that SSN is not unique (which is not a problem, just different design).
Of course he’s wrong about lots of stuff, just the nerd in me could not not explain it.
Mmmh, now it’s the right time to put on a big pair of fake moustaches and pretend to be a foreign official. I mean, it’s not like they are going to be able to check since they are destroying themselves.
To each their own man. I just would not have enough memory on my potato servers to run all those VMs 😅
