I’ve done it before using their update tool on freedos. Not sure if all versions support this but it was pretty quick and painless.
a thorough investigation is planned beforehand in order to find out how Huawei was able to produce an advanced smartphone so quickly without relying on global supply chains
There’s no way a country of 1 billion people which already manufactures most of the world’s electronics could have possibly produced complex electronics.
Smaller communities aren’t necessarily a bad thing. Compared to reddit I rarely feel like I’m commenting into the void.
In the case of Machine learning the term has sort of been morphed to mean “open weights” as well as open inference/training code. To me the OSI is just being elitist and gate keeping the term.
4x was a bit too aggressive I guess
Gamers truly are the most persecuted class.
I’ve used the tplink ones that they’re using and they’ve been pretty solid. I can’t say how they’d fare in a 24/7 setup though since they’re not really intended for that.
Middle mouse? What’s that?
That’s basically only OpenAI, maybe some obscure startups as well. Mozzila is far too old and niche to get away with that anyway.
Not necessarily. The same images would be consumed by both groups, there’s no need for new data. This is exactly what artists are afraid of. Image generation increases supply dramatically without increasing demand. The amount of data required is also pretty negligible. Maybe a few thousand images.
And what does that have to do with the production of csam? In the example given the data already existed, they’ve just been more aggressive about collecting it.
Real material is being used to train some models, but sugesting that it will encourage the creation of more “data” is silly. The amount required to finetune a model is tiny compared to the amount that is already known to exist. Just like how regular models haven’t driven people to create even more data to train on.
I use okular as my primary image viewer as well. I love the middle mouse drag to zoom.
The big issue for me is that there is any disadvantage between generations. My current 5 year old flagship has a headphone jack, expandable storage, and support for Bluetooth 5.0 which is all that most devices need. The only new phones that still have all 3 are cheap budget phones that lack in other areas compared to the one I already have.
There should be no performance difference. The only difference should be in loading screens and possibly pop-in from streamed assets.
The issue is the marketing. If they only marketed language models for the things they are able to be trusted with, summarization, cleaning text, writing assistance, entertainment, etc. there wouldn’t be nearly as much debate.
The creators of the image generation models have done a much better job of this, partially because the limitations can be seen visually, rather than requiring a fact check on every generation. They also aren’t claiming that they’re going to revolutionize all of scociety, which helps.
You can install any extension you want on the Dev version and some forks like mull by setting a custom extension collection. It’s a bit of a pain but it works.
Duckduckgo doesn’t have anywhere near the capacity to collect data that google does, and their ads are keyword based, rather than being influenced by other data. Their search engine is really the only thing I’d recommend using however since their add-on and browser don’t offer anything that others don’t.
Koboldcpp should allow you to run much larger models with a little bit of ram offloading. There’s a fork that supports rocm for AMD cards: https://github.com/YellowRoseCx/koboldcpp-rocm
Make sure to use quantized models for the best performace, q4k_M being the standard.
