I’ve lived In rural areas in the U.S. all my life. Internet is always atrocious because the only ones that provide services out those ways know that they have no competition.
Luckily, I’ve had a great company come in and now have fantastic internet after they set up the infrastructure, but I still think about those days I had to use Windstream.

If I understand it correctly, gallium and germanium are a byproduct of refining zinc or alumina.
This is a bit of a problem, because it also seems that China mines the most out of these materials, so it’s not like we could easily just buy these raw materials and have enough to produce even if we invested in our own refineries, no?
Are we just going to ignore all the jobs that were lost when the economy crashed? Not just in the U.S. either.
All because there was an inordinate amount of really bad housing loans that banks KNEW were bad, and just continued to give the loans out.
