Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen says he has met with Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who immigration officials say was deported by error, in El Salvador on Thursday.

The senator shared a photo with Abrego Garcia at what appears to be a restaurant.

“I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar,” Sen. Van Hollen said. “Tonight I had that chance. I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return.”

Now I get why Booker went. Van Hollen was able to confirm he’s alive, and being held illegally. As long as there is someone there with the ability to pressure the optics, they can’t just “get rid of him” and the whole thing makes Trump look weak because these Congressmen can meet with him, but Trump can’t get him out?

HitlerPig had the perfect opportunity to make a deal, but the media allowed him to slip the hook right in front of them, America and the world. The media in this country is so infuriating.

The El Salvador Dictator came to America, and sat with HitlerPig in the Oval office, along with Bondi and Rubio. The media asked if they were going to bring the guy back, and Bondi says its up to El Salvador. So they asked the El Salvador Dictator and he says “What am I supposed to do? Its not up to me to make decisions for another country, it’s a preposterous question!”

Literally EVERY person in the world who could negotiate such a thing was sitting right there in that room, and none of the “journalists” suggested they work it out right now, with the whole world watching. They didn’t even mention that SCOTUS had ruled that the administration had to bring him back. There was NEVER a better time to negotiate the deal, and they just let it slip by, and the media didn’t call them on it.

If one journalist had said that the time to work this out is right now, and continued to insist they cut a deal right then, he would have become the most famous journalist in the world at that moment, but not one had the courage to do their job.

Last week, Peter Navarro was on Meet The Press, and the host never asked him a single question about his primary source for his tariff expertise being a phony expert whose name is an anagram of his own. Its all I would have talked about, but she never alluded to it at all, even at the end when he was blathering on with weird insincere flattery of the host (I got the idea that that’s how he addresses HitlerPig). The guy is a total fraud, and yet he is in charge of our disastrous tariff strategy, and she can’t ask him a single question about his obvious fraudulent qualifications on the subject.

The journalists in the White House Press Corps, and hosting shows like Meet The Press, are supposed to be the top journalists in their proffession, but they treat their jobs as if their only responsibility is to provide a platform for the worst people to present their propaganda as Truth, without any questions.

Yep… It also puts pressure on Bukele - I mean, remember his comments to the media

“I can’t smuggle someone into the US, and I’m not willing to let them walk around my country, so I guess there’s nothing to be done”

The man didn’t say he wouldn’t return them, he made it very clear the ball is in the US’s court and he hasn’t been asked to give him back. He said it was impossible to see the victim, and yet when a US senator still showed up they arranged all this

America is the customer buying a service here…a customer known for having a huge crew of assassins with lots of experience overthrowing South American countries

Bukele has been locking up random El Salvadorian citizens without charges…

Yeah, they chose El Salvador because they’ve literally abolished due process. It’s like Cambodia again - someone accuses you and you’re just instantly taken away. You MIGHT get to see a judge after you’re imprisoned for a month or two, likely after you’ve been beaten half to death so you’ll confess to anything just to make the pain stop. It’s a dressed up version of Duterte’s Philippines - we’ll kidnap you and let you die, rather than just some death squad rolling up to your door (because that doesn’t play well to the media and the other can be dressed up as “law and order”).

This is one of a couple hundred that have been sent here already. Maybe they want to get more than just one guy out and smuggling him out would hamper that ability more than it already is.

Ideally, they’d get them all out, and if Trump wants to fight it, great. They deserve due process, and punishments that do not violate the 8th amendagnt

Understood, but for better or worse he is the face of the movement. This visit will be buried news in 24 hours.
