We simply wouldn’t have had enough time awake yet to achieve anything very much. Eventually an asteroid would hit or Yellowstone would erupt and we would have probably only got to the medieval age, and then we go extinct.
This doesn’t really make sense. Try it the other way: “It’s a shame we don’t sleep 23 hours a day, then we’d only have to work for a few minutes.”
