Adam Hamilton, a Democrat and pastor, is projected to win the Senate race in Kansas, according to Decision Desk HQ (DDHQ), all but ensuring a Senate majority for his party.

Hamilton will unseat incumbent Sen. Roger Marshall ® and flip a seat that was once expected to be safe for the GOP. He will be the first Democratic senator from the Sunflower State since 1939.

This was a bigger surprise than Texas for me (and how is Mississippi tied right now? Lol) but it’s just extra. They won’t be the progressives (or even liberal) we need but even a red dem in a seriously red state is a useful step in chipping away the GOP dominance I’ve lived with my whole life.

But I only say that knowing we don’t even need their vote, probably. Just gives Dems more leeway.
