According to an October 14 press release, HHS sent letters to the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), the American Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, American Psychological Association, Endocrine Society, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Each letter demands “a clear, current statement” on the organizations’ position on what HHS characterizes as “sex-rejecting procedures” for minors; identification of updates, revisions, or corrections to their positions, guidance, or educational content; and a timeline for any forthcoming changes the organizations plan to make to their positions.

The letters note that HHS sent similar requests to each organization late last year, but has not yet received a response from any of them.

Any healthcare worker should support trans rights inherently. However, ignorant fucking bigots pervade every aspect of everywhere now.

    "Dear uncertified nonmedical directors,

You say "sex-rejecting procedures”, but we have no definition in our policies for that phrase.

Please consider a degree in the field and, assuming you can acquire one, get back to us.

Hugs and Kisses, – real doctors "

If I recall correctly, approximately 95% of breast removal surgery (a form of gender affirming treatment) performed on minors is done on cisgender boys who have gynecomastia and experience severe social distress because of it.

They better give him the most basic and dumbed down version of their curriculum on why gender affirming care is important

Hm. Wonder if they’ve shown this much concern over teens getting breast augmentation?

Maybe these dipshits in HHS might want to focus on getting people properly vaccinated and educating people about the dangers of vaccine denialism?
