His friends and family have said he knew what it was. He had Reddit posts defending police getting SS bolts and discussing the thematic differences between Totenkopf and Punisher tattoos.
And, honestly, if he genuinely didn’t know what it was, that level of historical ignorance should also be disqualifying.
