“Democrats chose genocide over winning in 2024,” one Palestinian rights advocate said. “When does this stop?”

You say that and yet the nightmare scenario of Tucker Carlson winning the GOP nomination on an anti-isreal platform (sincere or not) inches closer and closer. The DNC is going to prove to be more rigidly Zionist than the Republicans .

Not surprised. These politicians have a platform for information distribution that yields results of their favor, and they have interests tethered to the entities which resolve their financial needs. How should we the people create a party that favors our interests while we do not contain a platform for information distribution — relative to the current behemoths, at least?

Who’s going to report on and create excitement for a grassroots movement that favors the working class to over the capitalists? Nobody. So how’s it going to get started? There is no platform.

Worse yet, these sort of goals would consume influence over masses of people. I say “consume” because influence is not infinite. To oversimplify what I’m saying: if you win blue voters, you lost red voters. The current platform maintainers (republicans, democrats) understand this dynamic, as well as their enablers (the capitalists), and these Goliaths will happy stomp on any ants they happen to find.

We’ve backed ourselves into a pretty fucked up corner.

Has there, at all in modern history, been a single case of political power shift toward the masses?

Forgive what’s probably an ignorant account of history, but revolution seemed more possible prior to the innovations we’ve had regarding information distribution efficiency. In the past, you could rally support for a movement as fast as — if not faster than — oppressive alternatives to the movement. You could ride on horseback from village to village, informing masses of people that massive change was bound, garnering support and strengthening the cause. A real grassroots movement.

What’s the equivalent in modern times? Short of military intervention, or revolt burning everything to the ground, or some other disaster that otherwise dismantles current power structures against its will… how do you, in modern times, contend the fact that information is controlled so efficiently by the powers that be?
