There is a particular indignity that comes from living in America, derived from the experience of waking up in the morning to see reports that Donald Trump has said something profoundly evil, and then needing to type “truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump” into your web browser to see if he actually said that. Once there, you can see a post in which Trump did indeed threaten to wipe out the entire civilization of Iran, stacked on top of an ad for a sketchy herbal supplement of some sort:
A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS? We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. It’s that, or he orders the airforce to nuke Tehran. It is my hope that, should that happen, the military step in and remove him from power rather than follow such an order. It’s coming to some something when the best hope for the world would be a military coup in the US.
I hate the military… bunch of assholes with a god complex at the top and morons who can’t even find an illegal order with a fucking neon sign at the bottom. but anything is better than Trump. Hell I’d take military checkpoints every 5 miles if it gets me the fuck out of the Timeline that looks to be turning into Transphobic Pedophile Nuclear Hellfire every day.
