Donald Trump said Sunday that if no peace deal is reached with Iran in the next 48 hours, “we’re blowing up the entire country.”
The president made the threat Sunday to ABC News’ senior political correspondent Rachel Scott in response to a question regarding whether his previously stated timeline of two to three weeks for a deal was still accurate.
Concerns have been raised about targeting civilian infrastructure in Iran and the consequences that could bring.
I mean there’s a whole military that executes it. A bit less than half of America still wants it. It’s not really one guy, it’s a large part of society. It’s not one against 300 million, it’s 150 million against 140 million or some shit.
I’m not saying that he’s doing it all himself, but he’s the one deciding to do it. This latest ‘stone age’ threat is all him. You’d think that a machine as large and powerful as our military would require more than one guy’s whim to move into action. BYW, I’m not absolving everyone else of responsibility. Everyone who decides to follow the orders is culpable.
