Even if that weren’t true, the idea that this type of open corruption is grounds for firing in a Trump admin is laughable. Trump himself is far more corrupt, and hegseth being corrupt just goes further to ensure his loyalty. He can always have Bondi do a selective prosecution of this should he step out of line.

It’s basically kompromat that only Trump (through control of the DOJ through Bondi) can use.

Don’t forget Bondi wasn’t even their first choice. Bondi is just who they used because they couldn’t get Matt Gaetz the position. Someone he could blackmail into doing anything because they already have the evidence that he trafficked and raped a minor. Gaetz assistant pled guilty and is in prison with a shortened sentence (14 years) with the agreement he would testify against Gaetz. Both Florida and the U.S. put the files in a drawer and essentially labeled it blackmail and let him walk free until they need to use it against him. He wasn’t found not guilty, wasn’t even tried, they just put them in a corner and said… Maybe later.

That is an entirely accurate assessment of the situation, with one small clarification:

Joel Greenberg wasn’t his assistant, he could be better described as a wingman/ concierge/ pimp, sort of a Florida Trailer Trash analogy to Epstein/Trump.

Greenberg was the Seminole County Tax Collector, an elected position, that oversees tax collections, obviously, but also the DMV, and Elections. So it’s a powerful position, with a lot of room for corruption.

One of the things that they did was take underage girls into the DMV after hours, and let them root through barrels of old licenses, looking for ones that resembled themselves close enough that they could use them as fake IDs.
