Furryosa just got her first confirmed kill a couple weeks ago. I heard the squeaking for like ten seconds then her proudly strutting through the living room. She wouldn’t let me take it away until the next morning.

My cat does the same thing every time he finds a mouse, unless we interrupt him before he can kill it, then he gets quite cross with us.

He usually doesn’t play with them, so if we get to it in time, it’s often uninjured and we try to catch and release outside. If it’s hurt, we give it a quick end so it’s not suffering

Well, you’ve had a lucky few months off. Our three just did not stop this year.

If your cat could explain to ours how to either eat all of the mouse or none of the mouse, that would be amazing. I don’t mind them feeding on low-carbon organic meals hand-prepared by local artisans, the hipsters. But I do mind stepping in all the bits and pieces that they didn’t care to finish.

Does mouse tails broke off easily? Years ago our hen killed a rat, it was it’s tail that we found first. The tail was quite thick, it surprised me our hen can break it off.
