Trump criticized plans for wars of regime change, and then turned around and did it himself, calling on Iranians to help the US overthrow their government. This is what success looks like to this person.
The supermassive black hole of sheer mendacity here defies description. They seem to be unable to realize that you’re supposed to present a believable lie under which people can operate so that it becomes easier to choose to believe it than not.
