Europeans are booking fewer trips to the US, Europe’s biggest travel operator has said, as appetite for long-haul travel wanes and concerns linger around Donald Trump’s immigration policies.
Not visiting America but instead visiting a despotic slave society like UAE? Ok then.
yeah came to say im not sure emirates is the best substitute. asia I could see.
Ah yes, the emirates. Famously free and unproblematic.
The issue seems to come from visiting places that are likely to have police shoot and/or arrest you for not speaking the local language.
I’m not denying the slavery. I’m stating what the decisions are that are influencing choosing the UAE as a vacation destination.
Okay, have fun in a horrible car-brained gaudy desert city built on the bones of Pakistanis.
I hear the skiing is excellent.
Why are you putting the decisions of others on me?
There is no valid reason to travel to a fascist country as a tourist. Most likely people still doing business with them are going.
I’m an American living outside the US. Last year, I had to go back for a funeral, but that’s about the only reason I’d go there under the present circumstances. And luckily, I didn’t have to leave the Seattle and NorCal bubbles for long during that trip, so it almost seemed normal.
Is your circle of friends/family trying to leave the US or do you know if people in general are trying to leave? Curious.
They can go to Thailand for really cheap, and it’s beautiful.
[Disgusting rich people who are destroying the planet choosing new disgusting places to travel to]
Americans doing it too, while we are still at least somewhat welcome. My and my friend groups next vaca is in central Asia. Tbilisi has a thriving food and wine scene. https://www.cntraveler.com/story/in-tbilisi-georgia-food-is-a-language-of-resistance
Almaty also great for awe inspiring natural beauty, Istanbul also thereabouts. Its going to be amazing.
Forget about Turkey while Erdogan is running things. Turkish governance is no better than that in Trumpistan.
Good shout about Georgia though.
