Summary: the Iranian government has intensely used lethal force on protesters. In Tehran alone, several hundred people have been killed. In the whole country - most likely several times more.

    I think the US is not currently capable of “taking over” Iran, and that should not be a goal.

    But it might be capable of assisting the protesters enough for them to prevail. I just worry that it won’t, and there will be a considerably bigger massacre in Iran than the ones that have occurred in recent history.

    A thing to fear would be a prolonged civil war in Iran.

      So the US will do is insert another dictator to be leader like they’ve done in the past. I don’t understand how you can still think that they’ll do any good when they have a history of making things worse.

      Civil War would suck. But at the same time it’s would give the people the opportunity to have their self determination and walk their own path
