I mean, if I’m not gonna have a good match anyway might as well embrace the fact it doesn’t match lol

I spent an embarrassingly long time trying to figure out what kind of backpack you are wearing, thinking to myself, “why are the straps so uneven?”

A brick layer once told me: if you run out of bricks and for any reason you can’t find the same bricks anymore don’t try to hide it, make the change as showy as possible.

I don’t know if that’s a word, translations are hard.

I had one for many years but it is the first time I see one with lines instead of spots, that is why I was asking, thanks, it is lovely.

Yeah, I actually have no idea why she even has a stripe! Technically there is a recessive Genetic Stripe Mutation, but it looks pretty different to her, and the fact that her siblings had at least some slight striping suggests that it isn’t a recessive gene causing this.

The breeder’s best guess is that she has the GHI, Black Pastel and Lesser genes, with a 66% chance for het Clown and maaaybe Confusion. So the stripe might just be a side effect of those genes interacting!

Neat! I’m glad to have found this community. My grandmother and my mother taught sewing for free for the entirety of my childhood. My grandmother to girls (I was the only interested boy) of the neighborhood, and my mom to under-privileged women. The machines were free to use at my mother’s location and my grandmother had four in a room that the kids could use any time as well.

It’s been very sad for me to see the decline of sewing over the years and the existence of this community makes me smile.

I’m fascinated by a brain that goes to eel living out of water before snake. Do you live somewhere that snakes really aren’t a thing?

He just looks real flat. I don’t know if snakes come that way. I’ve always thought of them as being pretty round. I mean, I guess it’s probably just his color/pattern, but I can’t unsee a little moray eel.

True. Buttons don’t need to match at all. Lean into this, get different style buttons for all of them and paint them all.

Ooh, I’ll definitely do that down the line when more and more fall off! Taking them off on purpose kinda feels like it goes against the spirit of the repair haha
