did you see how successful they were? they didn’t even have a goal past “get inside”. they stoked fear and divided the nation further but those were byproducts not the goal.

Yeah the goal wasn’t for them, they were just meant to be idiot bodies. He wanted to have a large group of people there so when the fake electors were submitted congress members would feel pressured/it was the right thing to confirm them. He hoped Pence would fold, and try to help him, then claimed openly he didn’t have the courage to submit corrected electors which I believe is what led to people wanted to hurt Pence
Hate is a better motivator than dignity. Also better educated folks tend (not always) to prefer to preserve their lives and lifestyles.
