The next competent leader will need to (on inauguration) executive order the shit out of these repairs as well as enact permanent laws that stop this shit using checks and balances. The issue is that the loopholes were cultivated for the purposes that trump is using them for. But he’s using them to create his own, unique keys to power. These aren’t niggling mistakes, they’re holes punched into the US’s power structure to be able to serve a regime’s keys to power. The keys to power in the US are wealthy people, for the most part. Elections cost money! Huge sums of it. And companies have that money. You can’t get elected without it. Necessary key to gain power.
