Well, corner of a bed also works.
It’s a spot on the floor out of the way.
Mine are wherever the fuck on the floor it happens I take them off
Then never wearing it because you don’t really feel like it, so you just drape all your one day worn clothing on stuff
I feel so seen right now.
I’m partial to hanging these clothes on pegs like a medieval peasant

The closest chair, see pic.
Its where you put things you don’t want to look at, think about, or remember they exist.
Ah, I’d rather keep those in the farthest!
On the bed during wakey time, on the chair during sleepy time
I hang newly washed clothes on hangers with the open end of the hook facing out. Lightly worn clothes go back with the hook facing the wall (the normal way most people put them in).
I also keep them slightly apart in case smells should migrate. Piling them up puts all the smalls together. Better to allow air to circulate.
I have a second lower rail that is only for clothes thatve been worn. They mostly get washed at the next laundry trip but dont get wrinkled sitting in the basket waiting. So no ironing.
And of course hooks on the door.
If you don’t mind me asking, are you AuDHD? 🖐️ Or is this an ADHD kinda thing too? 😅
Or the treadmill.
