Whether or not a state receives federal disaster aid under the Trump administration appears to boil down to their vote in the 2024 presidential election.
Donald Trump unlocked Federal Emergency Management Agency aid for several states this week, including Alaska, Nebraska, and North Dakota, but he denied it to others seemingly along party lines.
In multiple posts to Truth Social over the course of the week announcing the aid, Trump boasted that he had “won BIG” in Alaska and was honored to extend federal financial assistance to the “incredible Patriots” of Missouri.
Meanwhile, three states that recently voted blue received nothing: Vermont, Illinois, and Maryland.
So this asshole is abandoning people that supported him, too.

They should stop paying their share of federal taxes.
So Vermont, Illinois and Maryland citizens need to stop paying federal income taxes (but keep paying FICA for now).
No taxation without representation, or at least “No taxation without providing the services my taxes pay for.”

That said, given the shutdown I guess cutting FICA taxes is fine too.

Technically, DC isn’t a state. Which, unfortunately means it’s more vulnerable to Trump’s manipulation. They don’t have the same legal protections.
Maryland should take it’s lands back from the feds, kick the fuckers into the sea.
Yup, that’s what I’m thinking. I mean I’ll set the money aside in a bond or fund that will grow, and if I eventually have to pay it, I will. But hopefully there will be a class action which can help shield people while the suit is ongoing

And if the lower courts intervene, SCOTUS will again rule that Trump is King and appointed by God.

We know the answer to this from the first time around. Literally no one. He’ll get away with absolutely no repercussions whatsoever and live the rest of his miserable life at his shitty Florida golf course.
